The de facto next title challenger in the UFC women's flyweight division (56.7 kilograms) will be decided.

No. 2 ranked Erin Blanchfield (USA) and No. 3 ranked Manon Fioreau (France) will square off in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Blanchfield vs. Fioreau on Nov. 31 at Broadway Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA.

Both fighters have already stacked the deck for a title shot. Blanchfield is riding a nine-fight win streak (six straight in the UFC), while Fiorano is riding a 10-fight win streak (six straight in the UFC). However, the road to the title fight was bogged down when champion Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko fought back-to-back.

Both fighters are convinced that this is the fight that will decide the title challenger. "This has to be a title shot," Blanchfield said at the media day on Nov. 28, "I think if I win this fight, I'm going to get a title shot," she said emphatically.

"I think I should have gotten two title fights already, but life is what it is," said Fiorano. "I believe my next fight will be a title shot. I know the UFC needs to make a third fight between Grasso and Shevchenko, so I'll wait and see."

In terms of fighting styles, it's a clash of jiu-jitsu and karate. 카지노사이트 Blanchfield began studying jiu-jitsu at age 7 and earned his black belt in 2020. Fioreau has been practicing karate since the age of 7 and became a black belt at 18. He has since dabbled in kickboxing and Muay Thai, winning several competitions.

"I knew what Blanchfield was going to do. She's going to come in close and try to take me to the ground," he said, adding, "I'm ready and I'm not afraid."

Blanchfield added: "Fioro has long limbs. I've been working on my strategy for months. I think I'm incredibly well prepared," he exclaimed.

The co-main event will feature a hotly contested striking battle. UFC welterweight No. 11 Vicente Luque (32/Brazil/USA) will face Wakin Buckley (29/USA), who is known for his taekwondo kicks.

Luque has been practicing karate since the age of three and is also trained in Muay Thai. Eleven of his 22 wins have come by (T)KO. Buckley has not formally studied taekwondo, but he picked up his kicks from watching videos, most notably a jumping spinning back kick KO against Impa Kasanganai in 2020. Twelve of his 17 wins have been by (T)KO.

A black belt in jiu-jitsu, Luke can also grapple if his striking game doesn't work out. He is also very decisive, with eight submission victories.

The main card of "UFC Fight Night: Blanchfield vs. Fioro" will air live on March 31 on tvN SPORTS and TVING.
